If we decide the change the badge in years to come, we should respectfully drop the Latin, simplify and have Til The End etched into it.
It's not cringey, it's not cheesy, it just completely encapsulates this phenomenal last year and should be the minimum requirement from every single player to pull on red and white going forward.
I feel like this season has shed so much of the 'classic Sunderland' sense of inevitability that something will go wrong. (Aye, I know many people are still scarred by Old Sunderland....)
And that feeling has been replaced with a sense that we're always in it, always going to bounce back (see points from losing positions etc).
It would have been typical for Old Sunderland to concede a 121st-min corner, last-min winner at Wembley, last-min derby defeat after leading... but the club just feels... different.
If/when the time comes for a new look badge... Til The End. Get it on there. Mint.
