Mid-80's if we were going by van (sat on the crates) on an away -day we had a tape with just 'On Echo Beach' (recorded off the radio I think) on to 'sing'/slur along to

The verses were improvised to whoever we were playing if on the way/or the result on the way back but always started with something like
(I had to look the originals up to remember - memory going). There was a version about chasing Blackpool(?) down the Roker Blockyard
