How would everyone feel if Big Mike bought Sunderland?

He obviously still has an interest in football and the potential there (NUFC, Rangers) he could easily bankroll a fight back up to the Premier League.

If he sells Newcastle that is.

I would have thought that was for advertisement. Which logically would only apply to tv games etc.

I don't even think it's that much of a problem tbh. Wonga for instance was worse if the moral card is being played.

Live within your means is a sensible approach to any endevour never mind a footie club and the reason were in league one.

He uses NUFC to advertise his sports direct brand, which requires premier league coverage. He wouldn't consider buying a league one club, not that I think it'd be a good thing for us anyway.
