The repayment is set up already it just depends on who joins how the whole deal plays out

not sure how that makes sense like, are appts being made due to FPP asking or is it a specific person(s).
As a loan I assume we are paying back at intervals ...
If it’s someone on the go other than the Americans then they must be aware ?

Not necessarily. It could be what's known as a term loan, where you borrow a sum of money, pay any interest (there doesn't have to be any, by the way), and then the whole loan is repayable at the end of the term. The SBC loan was like that; the whole £70m was only repayable by August 2019.

In this case as well, we will mean Madrox. Although Sunderland assets are security, Sunderland owe FPP nothing.

I think Donald has left the running of the club to someone who has proved to be an utter failure at his previous clubs. It would also appear that Donald has no intention of leaving or can't find a mug who will pay the price he is asking. The only way he can go to a game without aggravation is to be successful, putting cannon fodder in front isn't going to stop that. Donald is a bullshitter, conning fans into thinking he cares and try and swing some support his way. He told us in January, he is fully committed to selling, has had a queue of interested parties and here he is appointing a CEO to take the flak for him. We were told that Juan was going to be more visible, admittedly not by him, but what happened there? He's a lying twat and you can't believe anything that he spouts. I admit to falling for his bullshit in the early days like.

This is the poundland version of Martin Bain

I really can't get behind this idea that FPP are in any way behind Rodwell getting appointed. He's done nothing anywhere that would attract their attention (and I still don't see why they wouldn't simply buy the club and appoint him themselves anyway). Is it that they wanted the structure in place so that they didn't need to get too hands on when they first take over and the actual appointments were up to Donald? That makes a tiny bit more sense but still seems like straw clutching, especially when it's a poster who has previously said that the loan was being paid back and they were gone who seems to have sparked the discussion
Rodwell one is a funny one , however the clubs he has walked into were already
Absolute shit,
Well come on then, what's changed from you saying that fpp have sailed of into the distance and loan paid back, to now saying they are waiting in the wings !! Bit a change in shift to what you were claiming few month back?

they’ve never been away from the table imo, and are in a great position if they want the club. We’ll see

They're playing the long game to get us at their price, not Donald's. It's essentially a game of poker. Donald has got an off-suit 2-7 but is trying a bluff that they aren't going for.

This is what I’ve thought is going on, and also heard from a few people.
They were 100% wanting to buy the club, but something scared them off during due diligence. (Not the fan group statements, as some Donald apologists keep spinning!)
They have probably decided to play the longer game, and now have Donald over a barrel, ready to take the club for far less.
Obviously anything could change depending on if the loan is paid back.
