Riv is saying that FPP is back on over on 606.
This wouldn’t surprise me, just seen news about Nathan O’Brien joining foundation of light board. I was told he was going to be joining safc board if FPP took over as Commercial director. He was also with them at the Wimbledon game. Is these signatures round the table that are required, 3 from FPP??@MADBOB THE MAKEM

to be fair and if I haven’t missed it, he isn’t saying it’s back on, he has been consistent in his view that they never went away. One view from months backwas FPP required or wished for more local business etc to be involved in senior areas. Not sure how the foundation fulfills this role as it is a separate entity from the club, however at the Wimbledon game the O’Brien bloke was photographed with the Americans.
Could well be a case of 2+2, or it could be a case of stealing the #cans hashtags from the unwashed

Aye I was chatting to Bob about it last week, be interesting to see if he’s been told owt.

Then why would Rodwell have been appointed last week or am I missing something?? I think the FPP ship has sailed long ago, could be wrong like but I’m not nursing a semi

Not sure mate. The talk is that FPP wanted local business people and/or people who knew Sunderland appointed to the board. Which fits with Dave Jones and Tom Sloanes. O’Brien has something to do with the FOL now, however that’s technically not part of the club.

None of this adds up to me, we are employing new CEO and academy staff and other clubs are on the verge of collapsing. It’s like a takeover or investment is agreed and they are slowly but surely setting it up before it is announced. Could be completely wrong like.

I think the opposite to be honest. If we were close to being taken over then the last thing we'd be doing is making appointments and spending more money before its complete.

Would love you to be right but I think we’re all desperate for good news for a change, Sunderland have conditioned me to expect nothing but bad news

Strange as I didn’t think Donald would fund new appointments especially in the current climate. We could be potientially playing games behind closed doors for the next year.

Also how they dissolved the company then weeks later the Derby investment story broke, it’s like they used that to potientially say to Donald we aren’t going to wait around forever.

Nath has been close to the club since the short days in any case. Its not someone that Donald has brought closer. As GOM says, he's another local addition to a board of trustees already stacked with local business people and celebrities, I think this is a case of 2+2=6
