Just put a bit of tape around it. More players should do it. Especially in the IPL, somebody would sponsor the tape.

A guy at work's wife called to tell him his new bat had arrived so he took the afternoon off and went home to look at it. Some people take it too far.

Its got a huge crack right on the edge by the splice. Its fucked
 
Get a custom made one. Theres a guy in boldon who altered my old gray nics can do them for about 140 -160 quid. Did a cracking job on mine - put a new super short handle on it and made it lighter for 40 quid.

Came back looking like new. The benefit of custom made ones is you get to choose how heavy, the shape etc.

My next bat is going to be from this guy.
