NEPL Predictions 2018

He's 21, which isn't too bad of an age for a wicket-keeper batsman in fairness. With the apparent fragility of our batting - hopefully this lad will prove a valuable addition.

Aye 21 and already released by 2 counties suggests either his keeping or batting or even both are not good enough. When i first saw the scorecard i thought the innings looked very impressive in context to the total so he is off to a good start and good luck to the lad.

Yeah agreed, but wicket-keeper batsman is a department we haven't got great riches in - anyway, we'll see.

From Cricinfo: "By the end of the season, however, still 18 and after only eight matches in all competitions, in which his keeping ability had been more apparent than his aptitude for batting"

Reading the blurb it seems like he was a very good youngster, played first team cricket early on moved to another county while still young (Somerset must have seen something in him), had a wobble (understandable, it happens) then played a few good innings - however, somerset wanted something more.

I sounds like a good gamble. He's clearly got potential and if he settles down he could do well and as Brandon says we're a bit short on wickies and Poynton maybe absent with Ireland at times.

Absolutely amazed that Burnopfield are being written off. They are absolutely my tip to top that division. Be very interesting too see where they are come the end of the season.

Wanted to highlight this again, because at the halfway stage they're unbeaten and top of the table.

Looking a very sound prediction so far marra.

Theyve got some really good players including Marty Oswell's son John who is a really good bat. Hits the ball very hard! Latest score card for them - - there are only 3 of them I dont know and another lad to keep an eye on is Adam Khan who I saw score a senior hundred when he was just 13. His dad is a good friend of Dale Benkenstein.

Adam was at Brandon last season, very decent all round cricketer but must admit, he flattered to deceive far too often IMO.

I think everyone knew at the start of the season that Burnopfield would rely on their experienced pros, and fair play, they have delivered so far

Bump

I see he ended up playing at willington.
