Is 'Q' still playing for CLS?

Same age as me and would regularly smash me to all parts when he played Junior cricket for Durham:lol:
Yes, but he isnt the captain anymore I was told. Coxon is the captain this year.

I'd imagine not having their ground for half of last season hit them in the pocket a fair bit. I wouldn't be surprised if hiring Maiden Castle cost them around £3k and then you factor in the lack of income coming through the bar at this time too with no cricket on.

They've let one of their paid players go this season, I know that.
Who did they let go?

Chester sign Callum Thorp. There goes the theory that they are cutting back on paying players
Be interesting too see how long he lasts and how many games he plays. I was told that he had signed for Annfield Plain and indeed he is supposed to have played in a friendly for them last weekend. He is running in off a reduced run up and Callum had said that he didnt want to play NEPL cricket due to the duration of the games.

BTW I also note that Nicky Phillips move from Swalwell to Newcastle appears to have fallen through. anyone know why?

Not sure, but Newcastle have signed up the Scottish lad, Macleod, who is on trial/loan with Durham. Not sure how much he'll play with Scotland commitments mind.

The Swalwell gig comes with a full time job.
