Neil in charge tomorrow

Neil should step back from this one and watch from the stands. LJ put on his Cuban heels and directed operations from the technical area, overseeing a first game defeat straight after taking over. I wouldn't want to see a repeat of that from Neil - he'll be on a hiding to nothing from the watching fans and on here from day one. Mind you, I don't really want to see the PE teachers running things either🥴. What a mess the regime have made of all this 😡.

I don’t think we can continue with the complete lack of leadership - he has to take this game imo, win lose or draw.

Now maybe if Speakman had appointed a competent football person like Yorke, Cattermole, Leadbitter or some other respected ex pro to run the 23s they would have overseen a seamless transition and bought us some time instead of his rabbit in the headlights jobs for the boys mate which has arrogantly stolen the chance of 6 points for the club but that’s another story. Can’t risk it for a 3rd game.

Had a look on his wiki page and saw this:

On 4 July 2017, Neil was appointed as manager of club , replacing former manager , who left the club to take over as manager of .

Sigh indeed.
That is depressing as fuck

Managers who don’t get straight in are to concerned about their win ratio which is actually minimal impact if they are good enough to stay long enough.

People who would judge someone after being in post for less than 24hrs are just morons and you can’t change an opinion of a moron as they comprehend the situation.
Funny thing there is Johnson stepped in against Wigan immediately last season. Right at the bottom of the league, club in absolute turmoil.. He thought it was a banker win for him to start on.

Lost 1-0.

I wonder if Neil will be able to effectively coach Neil. Neil has looked tired these last few days and needs someone to put an arm around him, hopefully Neil is the man to do that.
A couple of days ago, I happened to look at Phil Foden's breakthrough season at Manchester City. Although he was involved in loads of games, he played 90 minutes in four PL matches. We've played Neil (and Doyle) too much and broken them.

Agreed - opposition teams won’t have known much about them due to the lack of games played. As the season goes on they’ll have been able to identify their weaknesses and exploit them. Dealing with the rough patches is hard enough for a couple of young players let alone a team full of them. This is where the older heads need to step up.

If the fans didn’t have twitter, other journalists online to rely on for information, how the hell would you know what is going on? We have a match tomorrow. Complete amateurs. We have an older generation of fans who don’t go online. There has been next to no communication with the fans .The fans deserve an apology it has been a shambles.
