Nearly home and still gutted

The headloss is quite something
Diarra needs selling immediately, Sadiki has done nothing all season and Reinildo needs dropping.

Some absolute beauties. Can file them next to Le Fee should be fined/sold for missing a penna.

I mean the scenes had we gone from 3-1 down to 4-3 up would've been unbelievable (and really, we probably should have done) but we've more than matched a team right up there away from home, and it could have gone either way.

The games before his injury he was poor too - West Ham for example - where he was hooked at half time. Hasn’t had a great game for us in a good while. Not sure whether it’s fitness, or lack of, related but Hume deserves a place in the 11 undoubtedly
So 1 poor game from 20 appearances and you want him dropped for a right back? Dear me....
I don’t think he did a great deal wrong personally. Isidor was running at an angle which gives him more options, plus Martinez slipped and Isidor capitalised on that. Diarra was central running straight at him, Martinez had narrowed down his angles and but for an extra inch diarra would have finished his chance brilliantly. People look at his chance and just say ‘ah he’s got to score that man, world class strikers miss one on ones like that, erling haaland has done it a few times this season where he’s placed it round the keeper who’s narrowed the angles and it’s gone wide.
Spot on. Every decision is a good one if the ball goes in the net.

The way we lost yesterday was a killer. Leaving the ground though, I found the villa fans pretty decent and complementary. At some other grounds, it’s safe to say the home fans would have behaved very differently 😂

Although I was gutted after the match, I thought at times we played well. Villa could have ran away with it at one stage but we didn’t fold.

My post includes 2 examples, which does not reflect all games he’s played at all. He’s been poor most games since Christmas, as I’ve said already. Hume, by contrast, was very strong when he came on last game and deserves to play. It’s a meritocracy and Hume deserves the place at the present moment.

"off it for a while"

Was fine against Spurs, but struggles yesterday against a very good McGinn

Prior to that he missed 6 games with injury.

Where/when is this "while" that you are referring to?

I know it's just daft bairns venting, but it's so frustrating reading that sort of shit. All these keyboard experts telling us he should have slid it to Martinez's left/right or passed to Talbi etc tec
What if he'd done just that and the keeper had still made a save? What then? Are players not allowed to miss chances? Are keepers not allowed to make saves?

There's a few on here need to play less FIFA and actually experience the real world
Martinez has had an ‘indifferent year’ by his standards but is still one of the best GK’s in the world and is a WC winner
I was disappointed Diarra missed. I was more disappointed with the feck up between Le Fee and Reinildo that gave AV goal 3
But Martinez did exactly what a proper GK should he came out and left Diarra with very few options. Maybe had Diarra been Messi or Dembele .. but he isn’t
