I’m hoping the new owners eventually calm down with the publicity and just get on with the job.
This eventually... But at the minute (or the start of their reign) I think they need to be seen or heard to be doing something

High risk of getting egg on their faces at some stage if they continue. It’s early days though looking forward to gossip changing to on field staffingThis eventually... But at the minute (or the start of their reign) I think they need to be seen or heard to be doing something

So Jim White tweets about the 'many innocent staff' being let go and Mcdermott takes it upon himself to tweet back, thinking it refers to him. Prick.
The many innocent staff are those in admin, office workers, canteen staff, cleaners etc. Those working class people who graft hard for an average wage and are in no way affected by this - not the so-called 'high-flyers' on six figure salaries.
What a deluded prick Mcdermott must be. As Head of recruitment he has been directly involved in the shambolic situation the club has found itself in. He is not one of the many innocent people and Jim White's tweet was not about him or for him.
Good riddance.
Very well said, I know of an ex player who wanted to see him about a player he had who was willing to come here last seasonMc Dermott wouldn't take his call or ring him back he was busy.So Jim White tweets about the 'many innocent staff' being let go and Mcdermott takes it upon himself to tweet back, thinking it refers to him. To be fair, at this stage, and I’ve experienced it as an employee, albeit not at a football club, when they took over it is initially a financial reaction. Income versus costs. Staff are just a number on a spreadsheet with a salary associated. The new owners will simply say we have to reduce costs by 30% or whatever the figure is and mark up on the list how they can do it. In many cases good people go with the bad. And then others jump ship. But it is the rebuilding that determines the success after that initial cull. I know it sounds awful for people losing their livelihood. And at a football club it’s even worse as the same rules can’t apply to the overpaid playing staff purely as they have contracts rather than being permanent members of staff. It’s shit but just the way it is. In addition to this cull, the owners will also have met with higher ranked employees and very quickly made up their mind on some of those based on first impressions. You don't need 300+ staff at a league 1 club. They'll be doing it to cost cut and because we have too many staff. I'm interested in how they know who to cut though and who not to. They must be listening to someone with regards to who supposedly isn't pulling their weight

He was full of self importance
Was the player one that we will be disappointed to have missed out on? Not sticking up for him or having a go it's genuine interest to see how much having absolute arse hats in important roles has cost us.
Head of recruitment too busy to talk.about recruiting, I mean what the fuck.
We will ever know, but he was a forward and better than what we persevered with for months. Was the player one that we will be disappointed to have missed out on? Not sticking up for him or having a go it's genuine interest to see how much having absolute arse hats in important roles has cost us.
