Hi lads and lasses.

Does anyone know of any clubs in the area (preferably North/Northwest Durham area) who run Junior cricket training in August and September?

My daughter recently joined good local club, was starting to master the basics and enjoying herself, only for the season and training to stop, at the end of July .

She's 9 so too old for all stars, unfortunately.

I understand a lot of kids and organisers will be away on summer holidays, but with the Ashes and World Cup driving interest, you'd think somebody would be able to keep things going into Autumn. There was talk of odd matches in August, but she isn't good enough for the first team yet, so unlikely to be picked. I probably know enough to coach her, but that is going to get boring if she isn't playing with other kids.

cheers

I'm pretty sure Sacriston run sessions every Friday night throughout the whole year. Outdoors during the season, then indoors once it ends.

Cheers mate. I'll drop them an email. Her current club doesn't re-start practice (indoors) till February!
