One thing he doesn't do is hide. Probably about the only one in the team that actually tries to get on the ball imho
 

Can't comment I was there in body but not in spirit and being in the front row gives you a shit view of what is going on as well.

He'll be here next season and with time on his side there's hope for him yet. I just hope he gets a better manager / coaching set up to develop him. Yes there's potentially a player in there but I've seen very little proof of it yet. He stands out because he's got more energy than our other midfield options but that just means he's got a pulse.

There's a player in there but he's not what we needed, we've got more defensive midfielders than we can shake a stick at. I thought he did ok along with Kone but Khazri was again the best of a bad bunch.

Can think of 8-9 players I would target today before him
 
Ndong put a good shift in in a bad team never hid but struggled to create anything but he's young and at least he tried Our best player today. Compare him to Gibson who put in one of the worst most cowardly performances I have ever seen from a Sunderland player. Saying that i think the problem lies much deeper Manager. CEO. Owner. Take your pick

He doesn't hide but he just isn't very good, full of running and energy but doesn't seem to have a footballing brain. Age shouldn't make a difference.
