I had never heard of this lad till Durham signed him but after watching him in the Kent match he may turn out to be a handy signing. Not the usual big strapping Aussie quick but quite slight and skiddy. I also thought over the 2 innings Durham batted he looked as secure as anyone and could chip in with some handy runs.
Provided at the age 0f 35 his body can handle 6 months of county cricket I think he might be very handy.

was a good knock with the star turn weighell. hopefully this season can be abreakout one for weighell, been waiting for him to show his potential ever since seeing him play some great cricket for the seconds years back

Yea. I was a bit surprised at Rimmington's lack of statue, I'd been expecting that big bag aussie you referred to. And Potts isn't a big lad either but both of them will be useful for us this season I think.

I was quite surprised potts didn't get a bowl at all in the second innings thought that was odd.

mind you harte's over was eventful, a wide straight to the boundary down the leg side first ball of the over and what would have been last ball of the over no ball straight into the stumps

Yea. Potts. That's was notable, clearly it didn't just happen there must have been some reason - either he has a slight injury or given his young age they're trying to manage his workload.

missed day one so wasn't sure if he had a problem bowling, saw his numbers and he got carted a fair bit but looked fine with the bat.

was very surprised he didn't bowl second change, I assumed we'd given up the game by then so didn't bother unleashing him for the 3 or 4 overs he'd have bowled

whilst batting?
i never noticed him not fielding although there was an odd number on the field that i guess was probably 12th man in hindsight, you never know with random sweaters etc. 92 iirc
stressy i think so not sure if he would have obviously broken down on the field

Quite surprised he didn't play against Kent - after all, he'll have had a far better pre-season than anyone at Durham after playing for Ireland against Somerset.

I thought he'd have played ahead of weighell but I was very glad to be wrong on that with hindsight
