Was born and bred in Sunderland. He brought us up. He was my Dad. He died many years ago on this day. He loved Sunderland through and through. I love him, I miss him.

I love Sunderland not just because I was born in Sunderland, but because my Dad loved Sunderland. And Sunderland deserves to be loved because it's the greatest place on earth.

Why the fuck am I living away.

If it makes you feel any better it's 0c here in Sunderland and I'm freezing my bollocks off while waiting for the central heating to kick in.

Wish my old Man loved football but he didn't. Mind you if he did I would have supported Pompey where he came from.
Cherish the memories and be proud as you are. You support a cracking Club with great fans. RIP your Dad.
