MotoGP 2026

Zarco has been released from hospital.

"We're still waiting the results of the tests,” says Zarco. “I have a neck brace, but it is irritating me more than anything. It's mainly my knee; the ligaments, but my femur isn't broken. I have a small fracture at the bottom of my fibula, outside of my left ankle. I'll keep you updated, but I just wanted to reassure you. More scared than hurt, let's say. I'll be sleeping tonight at the hospital as they want to keep me under observation, and then we'll see."

The LCR team then confirmed on Monday afternoon that he had been discharged from hospital and would continue his recovery at home in France, where he'll work with knee specialist Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cotte in Lyon from Tuesday. After that, there'll be a plan put in place to determine the next steps of his recovery.

Great news and let’s hope he is back on the bike soon.
Alex Marquez has had surgery which went well. He has been pictured sitting up in bed smiling.

He too will head home to recover.
Great news

I didn't watch it live but some of the footage I've seen since is scary.
Saw AM heading towards the barriers at high speed and his bike barrelling down the track disintegrating so feared the worst and didn’t rewind to see what had caused it

He hit a rapidly slowing Acosta who had an issue. He then veered right, lost control and the the bike and Alex started cartwheeling.

If Marc can remain fit between now and the end of the season he can absolutely win this championship.

Him vs Acosta as team-mates next season could be sensational to watch. Pedro has been massively outperforming a really average KTM bike for the last 12 months or so, and now that Quartararo seems to have completely given up on everything to do with Yamaha, Acosta is very clearly the 2nd best rider on the grid after Marc right now.

Martin has been given a long lap penalty for the Aprillia CRASHATHON.

The dearth of quality on the grid is glaring in that a knocked about Marquez is still able to beat them.
For me peak Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner match him (more than in two of them’s cases) Pedrosa could have but wasn’t ruthless enough

The ages comparisons are tricky if not impossible.

Where would Agostini or Rainey or Roberts compare. Let alone Doohan or Gardner

Doohan reigned on a Honda that was much better than the other manufacturers, even Alex Criville managed a title on it when Doohan crocked himself yet again, Foggy would have done a job on it but was never given the opportunity on the best equipment.
Obviously the others were greats but we got to see the waning talents of Rossi and Lorenzo against MM and for the most part were at least as good as him

Go back a short time & there's VR, Capirossi, SIC (RIP), Edwards, Stoner, Hayden (also RIP!), Pedrosa, Lorenzo & others I've forgotten. We had a golden age...

The Roman Emperor Biaggi for a short period as well.
Sic what a difference he might have made bless him, VR never quite the same after his passing even though there was nothing he could do

I was a SIC fan. I’ve got a 58 t shirt but for while people would not give the lad the lickings of a dog.

Only after his passing did he get the love. I think that’s a real shame.

RIP #58
