MotM Vs Pompey

I must either have very high standards or am a poor judge of MoM, those nominating Cirkin is that the same Cirkin that looked as though he was asleep in the first half?
For me Dajaku going forward even though he should have squared the ball to Stewart first half, or Batth for a solid defensive display.

Stewart for me, won everything and didn’t misplace a single pass if my memory serves me right.

Honourable mention to Batth for a clean sheet debut.

Doyle for me. His best game for a while. He was the one who had to step into midfield and he did it well. Didn't put a foot wrong. Also impressed with Evans and Gooch. Not a pretty win today but massively important - we showed character. How bad were Pompey?

Noticed Gooch the most, one of his rare good games, was the one trying to wake us up and get things happening in the first half hour.

he played really well. He’s a better player than Flanagan who is 10 years older and has 8 int caps.

Doyle has made a lot of mistakes recently and been punnished (not as many as Flanno!) but he has shown tremendous attitude to keep going. Today he played really well. He's a very good player for 18 but maybe the best thing about him is attitude - first class.

I would probably go with Baath or Doyle (who certainly looked better with Baath beside him).

Dejaku and Stewart ran their bollocks off

Hoffman looked reasonably solid today as well

It did feel like a big result today
