MOTD - Manchester Utd @ The Sol

Shocking not one word about our performance, not one
First time I've watched this in god knows how many years, at least 10. Its time, like Football Focus, it was binned for good. Its not really a highlites show to discuss the games being played, really, is it. It looks like what it is, a retirement home for Ex footballers and their children who have finished playing the game.

Just watching it this morning

Commentator must have watched a different game as I really enjoyed it and Bruno made an absolute meal of that Angulo challenge. He barely brushed his face.

Compare that with Haaland with Gabriel where he just laughed it off and got on with the game rather than trying to get an opponent sent off
Best game I’ve been at for a good few month. I even said to the bloke next to me it was a really good 0-0

I've already received numerous texts on the matter. Not for the first time this season, the actual game being reviewed wasn't covered, ironically given that the programme is called Match of the Day. Shocking from a supposedly impartial channel!! Also couldn’t believe the commentator said the match itself was much like the weather - awful! He must have only commentated on the clips he was given.

A lot of positives to take from yesterday though
I rarely watch MOTD, it’s a programme I have little time for these days. It’s basically run and presented by muppets.
This partially explains why viewing figures are low.

👍 one of the best 0-0 matches that I’ve been to. We had 3 great chances, never really boring apart from first 5-10 mins after half time.

Watched it a few weeks back when we won, and we barely got a mention in our own game, so it doesn't surprise me that it happened again last night.

I'll treat it the same as Look North and stick it on ignore for the foreseeable.

Couldn’t wait to talk about the Angulo incident, no mention of Shaw wrestling Brobbey
Thats exactly it, sat there as though they were two high court judge passing sentence on Angulo and the thick f*cks couldn't even pronounce his name properly.
How Shaw's foul wasn't mentioned just proves how much MOTD is bent. Shaw had his back to the ball coming over, with his only intention was of stopping Brobbey getting the ball. As he couldnt stop him by pulling his shirt he decided to fall on top of him and to add insult to injury Shaw got the free kick, laughable.

Surely promising to make Match of the Day good again, like it was in the 70s, is going to be Reform's long-awaited second policy.

A obvious vote winner and Farage will be working on the manifesto wording as we speak.
To be honest bearing how left leaning the BBC are ,I thought they were punishing us for Sunderland election result. Then I realised they would have had to punish the whole country 😁 .The cameras were there so no reason to give to give such an unbalanced and almost anti Safc bias.I dont always watch especially when Shearer is on but think last night finished me ,no more MOTD for me.I thought it was some of the best football we have played for ages.

Best we've played since Man City on New Years Day. If we were this consistent every game we would be top 5 but if the media don't wanna actknowledge that who cares.. it works better for us to always be the underdogs.

Defo something to work on next season but I'm more and more in the camp now that Brobbey needs a partner. Yes he's fast and yes he gets there but he needs someone else there who can do the finishing.
Oh we weren't good, did you not know United weren't at it yesterday.

Time to put MOTD out of its and ours misery. It’s well past its sell by date.as Bamber stated. We can access far better analysis and coverage hours before this hackneyed programme.AltEnding is an excellent example. The money saved from the overpaid gobshites could go to better use.

Sky and TNT should do similar, bin off the pundits and just show the games.

I watched it for the first time in years. What a shambles of a programme. We were literally never mentioned. They focussed on Angulo arm brushing that cheating little scroat and then switched to , how may players Carrick has used since he has been in charge. As someoneposted earlier this could have been Man Utd v Walsall. The opposition weren’t included in the post match analysis. Long past its sell by date. You could find far superior match breakdown from dozens of YT vloggers. Annoys me that I have to pay a license fee to fund the pension schemes of barely literate ex players. Good to see Eddie Bamber has a video calling the BBC out this morning.

I know this is Politics stuff, but the idea the BBC is left wing is ludicrous.

Martinez's deliberate punching of Brobbey should have been looked at by VAR!

Haven't turned that show on for more years than I can count. Its horrendous.

And I don't see WHY I would watch it when the club had a full highlights package out by the time I'd got home. Why would I want to see what the BBC gimps think their audience wants to see in an entertainment programme, when I have the actual highlights of the actual game that I want to see?
