More problems for Archer it seems


Sad for him, but I'd rather Robinson or Wood was playing for the test team. He's mercurial in red ball.

Shame about another setback but shouldn't have played this summer anyway. So probably been caused by trying to rush him back.

There's no getting away from the fact Root overbowled him in 2019.

In his first 8 tests the least he bowled was 36 overs.

He had barely played first class cricket prior to England so mad to expect him to be able to sustain his fitness bowling that much.

Especially when they wanted him to try and bowl 90+.

Throw in playing every white ball game for us in 2019 and his IPL/BBL appearances.

Then we kept playing him in 2020 when he clearly wasn't fit.

A massive failing in duty of care by the coaching staff and ECB

We need him for the World Cup and Ashes.

Absolutely zero point using him until he's fully fit as just going to go round in circles.
Although Jof says it's clickbait

I still hope he doesn't play this summer.
