More KP drama...

The time more than anything. We've just lost our opening captain, it'd have been nice to be able to bring an opener into a settled environment. As it stands we don't know our number 6 from one game to the next.

As for Kevin, he has ability to be a legend of cricket and instead he's buggered it up with stupid media shite, Cricket fans and record books will miss him.

I'd say with his performance in the last test Bairstow doesn't deserve dropping. And with Morgan getting a contract, does that suggest Trott opening and Morgan coming in at 5?

Hope not, too much faffing about for me especially as Morgan hasn't been great in county cricket. I know it's not the be all and end all but he hasn't distinguished himself in tests when he's had the chance.

For as much of a kernt I think he is I'd rather introduce a batsman to:

him
Cook
Trott
KP
Bell
Bairstow
Prior

than

Cook
Trott
Bell?
New guy
Morgan?
Bairstow
Prior

No central contract.

Can either be offered an incremental one until next Sept. or none at all.

I reckon that's bye bye KP.

See jimmy criticising Freddie in he's book, that alright to? Seem like backstabbers the likes of Swann, jimmy n broad

The rift seems to be between KP and Swann reading across various media.

According to this report you can throw Jimmy into the mix too. Looks like this one may take a long time to be resolved, if at all.

They are all as bad as each other - Freddie and Harmy were a pack of twats, I can imagine Swann really going OTT on KP and Pietersen himself has gone on like a tosser. The point is though we shouldnt know about any of this. Boycott and Botham were poles apart as personalities and that England team of the 80s had loads of diverse characters. I'm sure there was plenty of shite going on but it rarely got into the public domain.

Exactly, it needs a table, a locked room and 3 or 4 individuals to grow the fuck up.

So he's come out and said that he wants the ECB to investigate as he thinks Anderson and Swann are involved despite the fact that someone else has come out and said they're the ONLY person responsible for the KP Genius twitter account.

Sounds like he's trying to deflect some of the criticisms.

Wish they'd sort the whole f***ing thing out now.

I think its because KP knows that some of the stuff that the parody account said were personal stuff that couldve only came from within the dresing room.

Plus its not as if it was a random bloke of the street, it is a friend of Broads.

Im not saying KP isnt at fault, its just not as black and white,

This. There is a lot more to this than a few texts. Thinking back even Bresnans idiotic comments ref Bairstow being as good as KP seem now like a dig at him more than anything.

Total mess.

Disagree with that.

I saw it as Bres trying to boost a teammate who had suffered a bit of bad press in the earlier test series against the Windies. It seemed to work as well with Bairstow batting as well as anyone in the test against the Saffers.

brilliant...we finally get a team that can play world class cricket...for the first time in my life..and the egos pull it to bits from the inside

Didn't want to start a new thread, but the Test squad announcement has been put back until Tuesday. Since we have no injury worries, I can only imagine it's to iron out how far backwards the ECB are going bend over to accommodate Pietersen; or how far down their throat he wants his cock.

Alternatively, he could have agreed he was a bit of a prick; apologised to all involved and has been welcomed back to the fold.
