More erasing of history...

44k is not democracy. After all, 17m for Brexit apparently isn't.

The Party told you to ignore the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
Every single person in the country could have voted. It was a public consultation, open to everybody.

If most of the population didn't bother, then clearly they don't care.

Did you vote? Clearly you're passionate about this so surely you must have voted, right?

Ed Davey isn't happy

Can't say I'm too bothered one way or the other. I can't remember the last time I used a fiver. Can't even buy a pint with it.

If it was up to me, we could have a montage on each, couple of inventions on the £10 (phones, steam trains etc), a few famous people from history on a £20, compilation of wildlife on a £5, Cathedrals/Castles on a £50?

Or a few designs. We have loads of designs for 50p and £2 coins, why not notes too?

And get rid of the 1p and 2p coins.

Melt them all down and make a big statue of something.

Its been so long since ive used a note for as much as I remember they could have Bella Emberg and Sid James on a twenty.

Maybe we can have the chalk streams on a tenner and everyone in the South East can pay their water bills with pictures of them just to remind the water companies what they are destroying if they carry on polluting

No I didn't vote as this is news to me. Let me guess, you knew.

44k votes suggests that this was not widely known. And have a look at the advisory panel, would there be any other outcome?
It was a very limited voting field with the parameters on an Afghanistan election.

Alan Turing, worth less than an otter
Churchill, lesser than a vole.
Florence Nightengale, suitable name, unsuitable person.

So what about the walls or your home? Are they decorated with these people? Do you have Marie Curie underpants?

Where is the requirement to have a historical figure on a bank note, and why does it matter?

My house isn't reflective of a country. Nor is there millions of copies of my house walls in circulation.
Countries , except ours now, are defined by history and past glory.

Hopefully it'll be native lions...from near Chester le Street.

Or perhaps some nice bats. I mean why celebrate a rich history of Shakespeare, Churchill, Nelson etc etc etc?

Its more woke crap. The abuse here merely confirms this.

44k.
Enormous amount of people that. Nearly as many as we got versus Bradford in division 3.
Would a decent compromise be historically relevant British animals? Ed the Duck, Gordon the Gopher, Ethel's pug, the elephant that did a shit on Blue Peter, Badger from Bodger and Badger

Should keep up with current affairs then. I remember seeing the story about the note redesign. I didn't look into how to vote as I didn't care enough about it, then more or less forget about it.

The advisory panel selected is just so they select the most appropriate British animals. I cant honestly believe someone is having a melt down over this. We've had historically figures for 50 years, time for a change. I see the EU are also looking to change theirs anarl from buildings to something else.
