More erasing of history...

No. I just want us to retain historical greats to celebrate this country.

Really not sure how else I can state this. I assume the literacy levels on here are sufficient but then again, trying to convince those who are committed to disagreeing is my folly.
Fair enough, see your point. It's just not a big deal especially seems as it was a public vote.

Using the phrase "erasing history" is not helpful for you as an individual or your point. It absolutely is not doing that

Badenoch is a true weapon using such an argument. Embarrassing for a supposed serious politician.

Ahhhhh that's where he stole his latest "thought" from.

Petty boot boy golem fanny.

Pretty sure she stole those words from me.

My choice of words could always be disputed. I like to think though, mainly, I haven't returned the mocking and mild abuse.
The amount of people who don't think that this is an issue, which is fine, but are trying to ridicule me is both shocking and amusing.
Being taking seriously by strangers on here, isn't really a priority for me.
Best wishes to you.
You seem angry that people get rotated off bank notes. You have equated this with “erasing our history”. You are no doubt a wise, decent person but that opinion is offensive and un-British

I laughed when they had George Stephenson on the fiver along with an illustration the Rocket Locomotive and the caption "Stephenson's Rocket" When people pointed out that it was his son Robert who had built that particular locomotive the silly beggars tried to kid on that it had been included intentionally.

To my mind erasing Robert Stephenson was a real example of "erasing history".

Nobody moans when Stockton on Tees was taken off the fivers

Robert and George Who?

After glancing at the thread titles I recalled that the full title of this thread is “More erasing of history”

Which suggests that the OP believes that it’s not just bank note design that’s erasing history (however nonsensical such a view might seem to many) and that there have previously been other instances of erasure.

Leaving aside the leaps of logic required to list or explore history that once existed but has now been erased … let’s just assume that’s merely semantics… I wonder what other historical events are that we once knew about but have now been erased, as suggested by the thread title.

Just a thought.

Pulling down statues.
But hey, semantics is the bomb here.
Nothing else matters.
I wishing hadn't started this thread.
I fully stand by my views, but my opinion on Sunderland fans is plummeting .
That hurts.
