Of course there is, its a completely different set up to the days of Tonton Zola Moukoku and such. Worldwide scouting network of people that watch these players week in, week out and masses of data collated to achieve a very realistic take on players. Data will never be able to predict real life with certainty but it has a fantastic base of knowledge that far exceeds normal everyday fans such as myself.

They have De Jong, Tiote and Wijnaldum though who all weren't there last season for one reason or another. Their winger options are hilarious like. They let Jonas and Sammy Ameobi leave despite the number of appearances they made last season. Seems odd that they haven't really been linked with any wide players.
