wonder if we might use him at number 3 and let him tee off.
Good shout. Like Essex did with NZ's Tim Southee and that worked well.

lack a quality spinner to win the 20/20
Just feel Johnson is an upgraded version of Plunkett but not by much
Good signing on paper, although the general view amongst members is that it'll be a shit or bust signing. He'll either be utter class or utter crap. It'll be interesting too see if he is better with the bat than the ball.
I'm never truly convinced about Durham in the T20 competition. I'm always reminded of Scotland who could never get out of the group stages at the world cup no matter how hard they tried. It just never happened for them.
Durham's best chance this year is definitely the CC, then the Pro 40 and lastly the T20 competition.
If selected for Australia’s five-match one-day tour of England, he will only be available for two of Durham matches.
However, having taken soundings behind the scenes, the Dynamos are confident that will not happen.
Australia have been in good form since Johnson injured his foot in November, with a number of exciting bowling talents emerging.

Not coming now, been called up for Australia ODI's
Another shambles![]()
I hope we spend the money on a LVCC batsman now then.
id nick Ravi Bopara off Essex
He'd be off playing ODIs for England for quite a lot of the season though. I'd love us to resign Shiv after the WI tests over here.
We already have an Australian opening batsman, a kiwi at 4 and a saffer at 5, I dont think we need another overseas import
cherry pick English talent like Notts
The way things are going at the minute I'd take a Martian batting at 3 if they scored the runs to keep us away from the relegation spots. I do get your point, but we can't afford to limit our search to English batsmen who are good enough who won't be playing any international cricket this summer.
I stand correct but Notts are top of the table and have a whole team of imported mainly English talent so it can be done
We got two opening bowlers who are both aussies and a west indian back up seamer, we have enough overseas players
How many English players are available mid-season or are you suggesting putting the pennies away for the winter?
