That Ashes tour where we absolutely broke him

To be fair though he went away, sorted his action then came back and absolutely tore our batting apart. A true real pace bowler on his day and up there with the very best.

unreal in that one series, but we dominated the aussies for years, and he was shite for most of it

The 4th highest wicket taker in Australian cricket history suggests otherwise.

Just about the best strike rate too, but lets not let facts get in the way

Totally spot on, the amount of brilliant Aussie bowlers over the years and like you say 4th in their history.

He was simply a outstanding bowler.

 I like your opinion on cricket mind, your very impartial and seem to acknowledge the fact that there are good cricketers that arent english

That's because they is mate, some of my favourite cricketers of all time have not been English, Gilchrist Warne etc.

Gilchrist and that Aussie team made test cricket more attacking and better to watch and took it to a better level, plus he played cricket the right way imo in all aspects.

And in the present and I know you and I are on the same page with this Virat Kohli is simply superb both in terms of ability and competiveness.

Nothing wrong with appreciating talent and skill, does not mean they have to be wankers just because they happen to play for the opposition as some seem to think.

One of the most emotional moments I’ve seen at a Cricket match was when McGrath & Warne retired after Sydney Ashes test and they ran a tribute on the screen during the lunch interval. Felt a bit choked up
