Wudve went in a different direction 95 times out of 100. Awful call by both officials.

He was stretching, off balance trying to get anything on it, could have gone anywhere. You've never seen a defender miscue a clearance?

I guarantee you see that goal from the linesman‘s view at pitch side with bodies in the way and the action happening in real time, you are guessing. Nobody ever puts themselves in the officials shoes. Even the pundit on sky sports didn't call it in real time he just said it looked 'tight'.

Once people see the replay they become an expert and the officials become 'blind'. Exactly why VAR was brought in.

So he *guessed he was onside* or he *guessed the Fulham defender played the ball* hmmmmm lot of guesswork from a supposed trained official, but never mind as long as you’re happy.

Of course they're guessing. What, you think they have a perfect view of everything? Refs and linesmen have to guess all the time. They're on a hiding to nothing. Why do pundits never call anything in real time? They know the replay will make them look a mug. It takes a bit of imagination to understand what the officials are asked to do.
