Thats a shame like, he had a winning formula with junipers. Sunderland is brutal for some bars and restsurants, desperate for more footfsll in the centre.
 
So it's still open with a new chef?

The upstairs isn’t open (for the time being). There’s a small, simple food menu on in the pub, but it has zilch to do with the Chophouse. One of the chefs who has been working in the Engine Rooms is knocking it up.
