Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

Are Partizan Belgrade playing in Europe next season? Red Star won the league.
Have to get through 4 rounds of qualfying to reach Europa League groups and if they drop out at this stage 3 rounds of Conference League qualfying to make the groups of that.

Red Star rewarded as champions with 3 rounds of qualifying to make CL Group Stage, and could drop out of Europe completely if they were to lose 2nd round of CL, third round of Europa and Play off Round of Conference League. While England has 6 teams automatically in the CL

Probably the last we'll see of the lad. He didn't get a look in even when we down to the bare bones in CM, and couldn't even make the reserve squad. Plus, a move over there isn't going to help him adapt any further to this country, especially when some were saying he couldn't speak English.

A loan with option to buy seems a plausible outcome.

Such a strange one. Signed with supposed massive potential, hardly kicked a ball for us but on the bench every week. Never played for the u21’s then linked with a move back home. We’ve had a few shite foreign signings mind.

Not writing him off though, especially with what’s happened with Mayenda.

Reminds me of Medina at this moment, hopefully not.

Being honest he's shown very little to suggest he'd break into a top half championship side and our promotion has further reduced his chances. If we're about to see the serious investment to mount a genuine attempt to stay up he'd struggle to secure a regular place on the bench let alone get a regular start with us. Looks like he may become the first casualty of our somewhat premature success.

Having said that I'd be loathe to bomb him out completely as he's still little more than a bairn. Given his age and price tag he'll be something to sweat over for Speakman.

Was f***ing shite away to Norwich
It's one game man. King Charlie wasn't exactly stellar over his first few games.

We have some big decisions to make here, Alese, Huggins, Seelt, Triantis and to a lesser extent Jones. Our backroom staff are being tasked to pass judgement on their potential at a year earlier and league above where they probably expected to be.

Was bought to develop into a championship player.

It’s just unlucky for him in a way we went up, may have pushed on in the championship but clearly not Pl standard so either a loan which I’d be happy with or perm switch.

It was only one game, but he showed nothing to suggest he’s ready even at championship level. He needs moving out on loan to a competitive league, with regular games

I'm in agreement to some degree because for me he did precious little to impress in any of his limited appearances but one game? :)

as ridiculous as it might sound, missing the sitter against millwall then they going straight down other end and equalising put him off on the wrong foot immediately he then had a great chance to score winner at SOL, thinking it was Watford or Coventry and his playing time got less and less and now might never play again

I thought he showed little flashes. Nice touches, quick feet and quick thinking.

Mainly interspersed with basic errors.

Doesn't mean he'll make it here. He's just a bairn, loan him out and then reassess next summer, depending on how he's done and which league we find ourselves in.

I'm not entirely opposed to your later comments but he showed nowt for me. Looked exactly what he was, a kid struggling to perform at a level or two above where he'd previously stood out. Not even close to kicking in at the same level as the settled and more experienced in the British game as the much maligned Watson.

Partizan Belgrade are interested in taking him on loan, but Aleksic is against the idea as he was there during his youth career and didn't like the experience
Would make no sense at all sending him out on loan to a pub league like that

Young lad in a new country takes time to adapt some won’t

Wonder how many on here would take leaving Sunderland to work in Serbia like a duck to water
