Looked like he bowled off the back foot sort of style

And he could bat when needed

Superb all rounder. Was always thrilling to see him on the TV in the 70s playing for Gloucs.

Procter bowling to Greenidge with Barry Richards at the other end...I suppose there's been worse days to have been a spectator.

Very sad to read this this morning. As a bairn growing up in the early 70’s, watching & learning to play cricket, I always wanted to be able to bowl like him. I used to stand two buckets on top of each other in the back street and tried to copy his style by bowling at them . One of my favourite players of all time.
