Can't blame him for not playing if he's got a migraine. Awful things.
This. Amount of people who say migraine when they mean headache boils my piss.

Same as the ones who say they've got flu when it's a heavy cold FFS. Boils my piss that an aal.

Not to mention the ones who say they've got burning piss when it's just a mild urinary discomfort. Mildly discomforts my urine, it does.

Did i hear that right in Graysons post match interview?
Williams pulled out because of migrain!!
Got to be a f***ing joke man haway.
Did nobody have a couple of panadol in their bags ? Nee chemists shops in Ipswich?

You have obviously never had a migraine

You can't play football with a migraine, I get them, I can't even stand up or move, they are horrendous.

Wait for the migraine sufferers to come on and defend him !

Yeah because they are right, and if you have never had them then you are just wrong. Absolute hell.

And "taking a few pills" does fuck all.

Hi Steve
At least we don't have to watch the shite , can't believe we are struggling in the Championship. Drop the lot of them and play the U18's :D

Hi Joe, yes we are lucky

I'd drop the lot and play the Sunderland ladies team, a win win situation ;)

Yep the difference between just having a bad headache and a migraine are chalk and cheese.

He might aswell pack in now then !

The people on here who are mocking a migraine as if it's just a headache that goes away with a couple of Anadin have obviously never ever had a migraine before

You can barely see, stand any kind of light or noise. You just want to lay down in a dark room

Dark room makes it worse for me. End up sticking fingers down my throat. Being sick is the only way to ease the pain for me. Laughable people having a go at Williams if this is genuinely the reason he didn't start tonight.

To be fair, a migraine is a horrendous thing to go through. Can barely stand up and walk, let alone play 90 minutes of football. If he really does suffer from them, then the bloke has my sympathies.

My mother suffered from migraine, it was the only thing that could knock the wind out off her sails, she was a very hard working but when she had "one of her heads" as she called it she had to go lay down in a dark room for a few hours.

If I get a proper migraine, the first sign is I start having trouble with my sight, then I start to find it hard to speak, then I get a proper aura, and when the aura goes, the big clue is me lieing on the floor sobbing from the pain. But mine are completely mild compared to two of my cousins.

One of them had a migraine a couple of years ago that came on at work. One of my sister's friends worked there and knew they lived in the same street, so she offered to take her home. By the time they got to the street, she could not even tell the girl what number it was, and she had almost completely lost her sight. The girl had to call my sister to find out what number it was. My aunt was in, and got her into bed, but did not like the look of it and called out the doctor. By the time her got there she was in so much pain she was screaming that she wanted to go to the hospital. The doctor called an ambulance and she was taken in. Two days later he was still in hospital, they were still not sure if she had a stroke or a migraine, she still had almost no sight, she was still struggling to feel her legs and hands.

It took her a few more days for her basic functions to return, for the doctors to be convinced there was no possibility of a stroke or some other kind of major event, and for them to allow her to be released from hospital. By then she was still no completely with it, not allowed back to work, and she was told to not even think about driving for a couple of weeks. That is a the very far end of the scale but it does show that migraines can be horrifically disabling events.

Also most of the early use migraine medications are very specific about not being used while exercising. I have a thing that I keep on me that I never intend to take that specifically warns that it is possible that it could turn my blood green. I would have to have a colossal aura to consider taking that.

I don't think preparing for a match is the best way to try and avoid one either. If I spot that I am starting to get an aura, I now have a fairly good rate at stopping it going to a full migraine. I just know to disengage from what I am doing and wind everything back a bit for a little while. At the last place I worked I would go off and lie down for 10 minutes, and I would usually find that I could go to sleep straight away and wake up and seemed like my brain was slightly reset and I would be ok. I also find that if you are in the mindset of 'and aura does not mean that I am going to have a migraine' it seems to help avoid them. I remember once have an aura that was the worst I ever had. Nearly my entire vision was gone and I was thinking it was going to be terrible, so I just lay back and rather than thinking "oh no when is it coming it won't be long" I thought "well I might as well enjoy these last few moments without the pain". And the pain never came! I could not believe it.

Have you ever had a migraine? Seriously, anybody suffering a genuine migraine isn't going to be worth shit on a football pitch. Light sensitiviy alone is agony. It's not just some headache ya knar that a couple of pain killers will get shot of.

Wait for the migraine sufferers to come on and defend him !

That's cause people who have em know the op is talking shite.

Whether he was lying or not, well, that's a different mater. Maybe.
