I have brain fog due to major health problems 2010 to 2013 which more or less covers his time playing for the lads
What are your recollections of him I am drawing a complete blank

Smashing keeper and great shot stopper. I was surprised when he went to Liverpool because he didn’t have the passing ability that Rodgers wanted. But a great stopper.

The most clipped moment of his career will be Gerrard’s slip and Ba’s goal which essentially lost Liverpool the title

I can barely remember his contribution and preferred to rely upon people’s judgment on here(I know could be dangerous) I will bask in the facts on statcat and the recollections on here

Absolutely brilliant for us. Much better for us than Gordon ever was, and doesn't get the plaudits. Excellent shot stopper, brilliant in 1-on-1 situations, and saved a couple or penalties.

This. Best keeper I’ve ever seen when it came to 1v1’s.

I was always more confident of a save than a goal.

Shame his move to Liverpool never entirely worked out but was still a success. I remember him making a few mistakes early on and then after that, was blamed for everything. Goals he stood no chance with, he was ripped apart for.

I’m sure he was in goal for the absolute thunderbastard Jagielka scored in the derby. Neville and possibly Carragher went on absolutely ridiculous about the keeper after the game.

Sharp edit that mind

He was a good keeper for us made some incredible saves. Him and Gordon comfortably the best 2 keepers during that spell in the PL.

Personally, I don’t think Gordon was a patch on Mignolet. Don’t get me wrong, I thought Gordon was good and took some unwarranted flak, but equally I didn’t think he was quite as good as some made out.

Mignolet was as brave as a lion and an excellent keeper imo.

Then when we gone down to the championship, we had a group of some of the worst goalkeepers for us. A complete 180.
