Middle Eastern Owners at SAFC? (Amad)

Why? Is it shameful?
They are celebrating having their football club taken over by a state that has an appalling human rights record, has outlawed same-sex relationships, treats women like animals and murdered a journalist fairly recently. I'd be fecking ashamed. The mags celebrated with tea towels on their heads.

If the desperation for success scrapes that low in the barrel then they're fecking welcome to top-flight football. It's not for me.

With us all cottoning on to the fact that maybe this is as far as KLD can take us along with Amad’s recent social media activity.

IF middle eastern investors wanted to buy us and spend their millions with the first transfer being that of Amad, how would people feel?

Would the fans turn a blind eye and get on the ride or would it never be accepted?.
I’m not entirely against the Middle East. I’d not want those who’d hacked journalists to pieces and committed ongoing human rights violations. Not sure if that’s possible. Sheffield Utd got a Saudi mind and that Didn’t go well either I think there are a good few bad experiences.

If we are all honest it’s canny obvious Amad is basically using his ex (us) to make the lass he wants (united) jealous
He’s definitely just fuming that he can’t get a minute for them (rightfully so by the way)

Aye I remember the compromise my principle cup , what a weekend that was .
Let's hope no-one with even the slightest black mark on their financial past ever puts a penny into the club and we remain a club drowning in mediocrity for the rest of our miserable lives .
I think there are more important things than Sunderland AFC winning football matches, you obviously don’t. It’s as simple as that.

This. I can imagine being torn as to whether to keep going to matches but to actively celebrate as if it’s the best thing to ever happen to them is just embarrassing. Assuming they just agree with all the things you mention above.

If your massive leap of adding 2 and 2 together were to come true then I couldn’t care less about where the owners are from. However, I would care about where their money had came from and if they were representing a despotic regime and using us to sportswash then I’d be out

No, the issue is political, that's the cut and thrust of it, it's also, trying to be successful under an ideal that's been out of fashion since Big Roman took over at Chelsea, maybe even before that when Blackburn bought the premier league title in the mid 90s, but the truth is if we want to be successful, we need a shed load of cash and try and buy it.
Yes but the issue isn't about having 11 english players like you said, it's to do with money and politics and buying success (like you say in this post)
