Vaughan was a poor one day player and a dubious ODI leader, but a serious Test bat and captain. He has offered up some considerable opinion since his knee forced an early retirement. He has a fair point here, if a tad hypocritical. We need a step change in ODI cricket. Picking the youngens will be a good start.
