Michael Proctor

As others have alreaady stated, he has been a mainstay throughout our rise to this 7th place finish. Along with the likes of Hume and O'Nein.

This in itself tells you that the club heirarchy recognise his work ethic and contribution.

With all due respect to him, he was never a superstar as a player so it's always more difficult for ex-players like him to end up in the top coaching / management roles.

Hats off to him...

Lived a few doors from me.. good lad, good family.

Seems very popular at the club. Noticed Riggys Dad giving him a massive hug on the pitch on Sunday.

Remember him turning out at our Peterlee site in 2010 for a students v "legends" match . The "legends" were Dean Gordon and Steve Harper

Never know how you judge him as a coach because despite being here during the good times he was also here when we were chod! However if RLB thinks he’s doing a good job I’ll take his word for it.

Thrilled for the lad.

Must admit I had my reservations when he was added and retained on the coaching staff.

I thought it might have been a bit of an own goal.

If I remember correctly he was in the youths with Bridges Kyle Beavers etc (might be wrong) Anyway I remember watching Michael playing in the youths at the Charlie Hurley Centre and his grandad proudly informed me "that's my grandson".
Now Michael's son Tom is following in his father's footsteps.

Have we had a thread yet? If not we should and here it is. He’s one of our own and I’m delighted that when they come to tell his SAFC story events at a game 23 years ago are now totally overshadowed by his fine coaching record for us including being ever present on the bench this season. Well done Michael lad and as was said this week, this is only the beginning.
@Super Colin Todd is a big fan!

Can see the passion in his eyes and the pride is bursting from his chest during some of the amazing moments in recent years. Great to have one of us in the dugout
