Methven still claiming credit

If Methven makes another trip to the Italian Lakes and convinces Maurice that he's the right owner to take Wednesday to Thursday, then all will turn out well.

So that will be Wednesday spending the best part of a decade in League One until old Salmon Pants slings his hook whereupon the Club will win promotion back to the Championship. He did it here and at Charlton.

It was Sartori who got KLD on board. Maurice is already a director here as well.

Yes, but I was quoting Methven's story in his interview.

Of course we don't know what really happened but I can imagine Juan being the real link, does the intro, and the deal / offer to join the board is closed officially at Italian Lakes, thus Methven's view of his "essential" role.

I'm 99% sure this is a wind up, but on this point...

This is factually incorrect. He left his position at the club in 2019, after steering us to 11th in League One. He sold his shares later, but for almost the entire time he was directly involved in day-to-day aspects of the club, he presided over abject failure.

I'll say it again: Cutting is the easy part. You could bring in a golden retriever with a set of dice and achieve cuts. The intent is to move upwards, and that was something he was unable to do. Claiming credit for KLD coming, Speakman coming, and because one player who barely played has ended up being at the club throughout that journey, is an incredible reach. He failed miserably on every level, and the fact that at least 3 proposed ownership groups ran a mile when they saw the inner workings of the shell he had created, tells you that it was likely significantly worse than he would ever admit.

Nobody has played a greater role in almost destroying us as a football club. Claiming credit because he was eventually forced out after lying brazenly about how they funded their purchase, alienating everyone with attacks on the fan base and failing in every critical role he claimed for himself, is his legacy. A fraud of a man, almost in the literal sense.
Just seeing this from months ago. Oops BUMP

Saw something on one of those vlogger vids that insinuates that Charlie boy is doing a Beale and praising himself for his time here on an alternate twitter account.

He has a weekly podcast now called ‘Business of sport’ expert on anything and everything obviously
On his other podcast 'Where has the money gone' he claimed this week that he sold SAFC for in between 30 and 40 mill

I find that hard to believe
