Did the full £15m + £25m come from the parachute payments? As was often suggested at the time that Madrox used the clubs own parachute money to buy it? Effectively getting the club for free? Or did they stump up £15m themselves?

FWIW I don’t have a problem with the £25m servicing the existing debt but it was a bit shifty for short to claim we were completely debt free.

The man made mistakes but he inherited an absolute shambles. The club were leaking 27 million pounds a year debt when he came in and were 180 million pounds in debt. How can you say he left it in a worse place than that? Just because he wasn’t involved in day to day running doesn’t mean he wasn’t influential behind the scenes. He was a still a shareholder.

When Charlie talks people listen - Speakman & KLD certainly did and wouldn’t be here now without Methven’s charismatic headhunting.

No, only the £25m. The £15m for the shares came from Donald (£12m) and Sartori (£3m). as evidenced by shareholder loans in Madrox.
