Met a former Player last night

I started going in 67 and he broke into the team about that time. One of my early favourites who's career was all but ended by that second leg break.

My Dad was at the match when he broke his leg. Came back and did it again and in those days that was it. Never saw him play but always a name that sticks out for fans of a certain age as apparantly he was quite a prospect

I remember him. Wasn't he a bit injury prone ? Didn't get much game time, but was a good prospect.

Could be wrong, memory's piss poor now.

Two broken legs.
Debut as a 17 yr old and probably the best prospect I have seen come through the youths. A broken leg tragically ending his career as a 20 yr.

I occasionally play a round of golf with Bob, the cabinet maker. He’s not one to go over to a strangers table after a round and hit on the women though.
