Mental strength

Just picking up on a comment made during the Chelsea game that we hadn’t lost a game all season after scoring first.
It was well publicized during the season about the amount of points we picked up from losing positions but I hadn’t picked up on the other stat.
In both of these metrics we were in the top 2 in the whole of the division. That shows the mental strength within the team and likely to be no fluke considering RLBs qualifications.
Compare this to the mags who lost the most points after leading and picked up the least points from losing positions.
The character in both dressing rooms couldn’t be further apart which was clearly evident in the two derbies this season.
Didnt wish this to be a mag post but it was the best comparison I could make to demonstrate the mental strength of this team.

Totally agree mate....and you have correctly identified why its a massive close season for the Mags as they have to change around that dressing room mentality. Tbh i would also include Howe in that.
If they dont I can actually see them doing worse next season than this
The mental strength isnt there when Xhaka is missing from the line up
Reflected in our points per game when he plays and when he was out injured

I agree but i think that was more pronounced earlier on in the season rather than now. All of our players have learned from Granit.....just look at the growth in mentality of Luke....he wouldnt have recovered from that mistake at SJP had it happened earlier this season. Riggy and Ballard too...both have matured massively as the season went on. You cannot also underestimate the experience of Nordi Reinildo and Alderete either all of whose influence has also increased the longer the season went on due to them more more comfortable in their environment and more experienced of Premiership football.
I honestly would have backed us to beat Chelsea even without Xhaka
