Yes just walk straight in. Its a bit like a 2nds match. Is the game free for non members? Can’t see anything about tickets

Appears as if they that's a deliberate effort to discourage attendance. They can then cease them claiming they're not worth holding as they're so poorly attended. After day 1 of the game v the University. Just announced today by the looks of it. I think a bit more notice would have been appropriate.

And your fully entitled to your point of view. How much more notice would you consider appropriate?
Seems the perfect time to hold the first meeting of the season in my view. Week before the real stuff starts, only real chance they’ll get to do it before the first proper home game of the season - on a day when players and officials will already be at the ground, two birds, one stone etc…
There’s been plenty to whinge at the club about in recent years, but I just don’t see it this time. Seems like folk are whinging for the sake of it here like.

It's a wholly appropriate time to schedule it on a match day but one working day's notice indicates a lack of respect for members i.m.o.
The club projects itself as a community club- that implies mutual respect between members and management.
A pre-season meet the players evening has been held throughout the club's 1st class existence and is promised as part of membership package. This appears to have been withdrawn without explanation.
Again an indication of the contempt management have for members.
Respect is mutual and has to be earned.
If that's whinging so be it.
That's assuming that they pick up the notification immediately.Historically Forums are announced well in advance. Why such short notice? I find such short notice inconsiderate. I find the cessation of the meet the players meeting without explanation contemptuous. We obviously have different standards on what constitutes mutual respect.‘One working day’
It’s four solid days in advance, over a weekend, for folk intending to go to the game it’ll mean hanging back an hour after work - for those not bothering with the game it still allows them to go after play has finished. Seeing as it is ‘out of hours’ I would imagine most people who work will be finished their shift long before then anyway.
I could get it if they announced it on Monday morning.
Just proof that some folk will complain over absolutely anything.

No problem. Enjoy the season.
Don't think you'll need to look far for that bizarre hill - dry and minimum 0° is weather forecast for Monday.I don’t consider it ‘mutual respect’ or a lack thereof.
If it pisses down all day on Monday it’ll get cancelled anyway, so I suppose that I find it a bizarre hill to want to die on.
Have you told the club how you feel about it? Have you told them they’re not respecting you as a supporter/member?
Master of spin! The club needs you.Does it perhaps fall.more under the banner of 'embarrassingly last minute by the club' rather than disrespectful?
Not good either way
Having made two phone calls (details left) and one personal visit, I still await an answer regarding delivery of membership cards for this season. They’ve just gone through a recruitment process for the new membership manager recently so I assume that’ll probably be the reason for delay, sure I saw the other week that one of the team left on Twitter. On the job description it mentioned about booking member events so hopefully we’ll see more events through the season!
I haven't renewed my membership for the 1st time in 30 years as I'm a whinger but I seem to recall that new cards wouldn't be issued, retain last year's which will presumably be updated when you paid for renewal.Having made two phone calls (details left) and one personal visit, I still await an answer regarding delivery of membership cards for this season.
As regards Monday evening’s forum today’s email says that booking is not required just turn up with 2023 membership card![]()
Yeah thanks for that, my query is regarding an upgrade from T20 membership (for my wife) to member and spouse, I’m unaware as to what the situation is and have tried to get information from the club without any reply from them.I haven't renewed my membership for the 1st time in 30 years as I'm a whinger but I seem to recall that new cards wouldn't be issued, retain last year's which will presumably be updated when you paid for renewal.

Informing management of their lack of respect? The membership renewal pack at the end of last season promised a dedicated membership manager to answer members concerns and receive feedback. If such an appointment has been made there has been no notification of such which would make it pretty pointless. Another broken promise?
I found the old guard -Cooky, Moxon, Gordon Hollins, directors Tommy Moffit,, Bob Jackson always a visible presence and readily approachable. North, who now seems to be the sole decision maker, unapproachable, antisocialable bordering on the ignorant. Yes, I am disillusioned at the direction the club is heading.
