Suppose you get what you pay for then......14 players signed for peanuts and not one of the fuckers has contributed significantly.

1 of them scored the goal that earned us a point at Southampton. I think Altidore looks decent as well and I'm happy that Celustka, Borini and Ki will do ok while Mavrias and Karlsson look like future Premier League players, even if they're not at that standard right now.

The others, the jury is very much out on for me, but i guess that is the risk of this approach. Surviving this season is the key. Next season when the contracts of Gardner, Larsson, Vaughan, Bardsley, Ji and Cuellar have expired, the loan signings of Borini, Celustka and Ki have gone back then we will have a lot of room on the wage bill. Our scouts will have also had a year to find the right players and we will hopefully kick on significantly. We have to clear the decks first though.
