Mayenda discussion thread

He needs to up his workrate imo if he wants to make it as a premier league player. Got all the attributes otherwise.
Agree he needs to watch our 3 midfielders who put so much energy into closing down the opposition. So many times I see him give up when he loses the ball and just stands like a tailor's dummy. Hell he doesn't have to watch our midfield chasing lost causes just watch Brobbey. Maybe he just lacks the determination you need to succeed. I doubt Le Bris will stick by him much longer if he doesn't show willing to put the hard yards in.

Pretty much with how cheap he was initially.

I'd rather keep him like but rather him than a regular starter.
Aye he definitely needs consistent minutes for his developement and seems he's just not gonna get it here so as you say cash in on him to keep Roefs/Sadiki etc and can still buy another starter regardless

Can't disagree with any of that tbh mate.

He hasn't stepped up as RLB asked every player to. He tried his best, but his confidence dipped. As for me, I'll keep him.

Brentford's Graham Lewis-Potter joined them in his first season and struggled to adapt to playing in the Premier League. This season, however, he has been outstanding.

Makes sense to me.

He’s still young enough that we can get a decent fee based on potential alone. He hasn’t really stepped up since last season (limited minutes also a factor).

I think Isidor will get a lot more minutes now we’re in Europe and he’s really stepped up during the “run in”. His goals v Villa & Everton were excellent.

As we look to transition to a more dominant team that creates a bit more, what we’ll need is an elite level finisher. With a new player plus Brobbey & Isidor, we’ll have a hold-up man, pace in behind man and then a brilliant finisher.

Do you think Isidor will stay?

I think anything north of 20m comes in and he'll be away

IMHO Isidor is about as good as he'll ever be now - happy to have him in the squad to come and add a goal/ cover positions but he's not a starter. Mayenda is 4 years off his peak and needs regular games to see how good he can be
