Mayenda discussion thread

Zero composure? 'literally' 🤷😂
His goal v sheff united was zero composure?
His pass today for Isidor was zero composure?
Fucks sake crook mackem.
He missed 3 other chances against Sheffield and 2 of them where pretty much a carbon copy of the one he scored, he has 2 assets that are big in modern football, pace and power but his finishing is absolutely abysmal there’s no getting away from it

He is looking really good but has me nervous when he shoots with his right foot, it is either going to end up in the net or Row Z, with his left foot most the time it is on target. His Heading no need to mention that tbh. I love his workrate, he never stops running, him and Isidor look like they have a good understanding too.

His final ball is shocking. Players like him anf sheesh are hit and hope when we get them. Not sure on him he seems slow when its not an instinctive decision.
Yet he scores and gets quite a few assists..

I don't agree they are hit and hope either. Perhaps in terms of transferring leagues- but they both were highly rated and have played in ligue 1/2. Aouchiche came to get his career back on track.(Like Roberts and Clarke) and the story with Mayenda is that his club only let him go due to financial issues.

He was bloody class today - first 45 he didnt waste a ball. Him and Isidor together are almost unplayable for opposition.

we need another striker for sure we should of scored 3 or 4 today yes they are scoring but their missing far to many chances which could cost us

Sheesh isnt good enough. Mayenda, well depends if he can improve decision making.....if he does he will be beast.

I have no problem with the Mayenda chance close in that was blocked. It was a very good move and he just had to help it on its way first touch. Unlucky.

However, he really should have worked the keeper with his first half chance.

With good coaching, a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and improve, he'll do well for us.

There aren't many teenagers doing what he's doing in the EFL...yet some of our supporters can't see we have a potentially massive asset on our hands here.

If you've ever played football you'll know that finishing can't be learned, you either have it or you don't, it's an instinct more than anything. Mayenda doesn't have it.
This is an amazing opinion. In that it amazes me someone has said this.
However, I have not played football (I assume you mean professionally). So you must be right.

Of course Iain Dowie has played football- and knows fuck all about it. So today's not the day to pull that card.
