May 29th no footy on tv


Good morning Hank, and everyone, nowt it is then. Might get around to putting one of our TV games from the season on that I've got recorded, possibly the one where that lanky German forward thunders that header into the net at the Roker end. Off to see my German friend this morning, Herr Kutz, ahead of our midweek trip away on Monday.

Thank Crunchy it's Friday after another busy week at work. Roll on five o'clock and the commencement of the weekend.

Watched Look North the other night and it featured our first black player Roly Gregoire having been tracked down after many years by Jeff Brown. His story can be seen on BBC iPlayer titled finding roly but might like to watch it later in the absence of live football.

Morning Cy, there was a thread about this Roly programme a couple of days ago and I have watched it. Poor old Roly he had a hard time when at SAFC.
I've been reflecting about him. I must've seen all his home appearances and I certainly can visualise him in action back then (he was a canny player for his age), not realising the hurt he was suffering. It makes you think. PS Wayne doesn't look like a punk anymore

Had a good day yesterday , went whale watching, some of the people saw a humpback whale but I was in the 50% of people who missed it. Then saw thousands of puffins and other birds at a remote island of Newfoundland.

Went to Titanic Exhibition in the afternoon which was very good.

Will be out exploring today so hopefully will be interesting.

No football for me today, but beer is a possibility.
