Bardsley and Cattermole alone are earning the best part of £80k p/w between them. They need to be off the wage bill if they're not going to playing.

Fuck knows why I'm replying to you

Giaccherini reported to be on around £30k

alf, graham, saha, mcfadden, mangane, meyler, campbell, killgallon, bramble, elmo already off for this seasons wage bill with more to come no doubt.the wages line is a myth that people now take as fact.

 My point was that was what the other poster was referring to rather than transfer fees.

I personally think he's still signing.

what do you think?

i think we will be mainly bringing in loan deals from here on in.

do you assume we have no kitty

Why assume that if this deal for Mavrias has fallen through we don't have other options that we can pursue?

yes and loaning out players is not going to bring in any money for signings.

as above.

far enough i can actually see your point ,shifting the deadwood is problematic for the new regime and could be costly , the squad needs not only improving but added depth too , im sure we will pull out all the stops to rectify this but time is not on our side , the over paid fuckers that have paraded as premier league footballers at our club need to take a hard look at themselves . Hopefully our fitness will compensate for the lack of quality .

it fell through because we were stalling until we could get rid of other players (McClean most likely), until those players go I don't think we have room on the wage bill for anything other then essentials (RB, LB and the man with the keys)

Yep, it's all down to wages. Dread to think how much Cattermole, Bardsley, Vaughan, Gardner, Cuellar, McClean and to a lesser extend Wickham, Larsson, Ji and Sessegnon are on between them.

ok you've confused me - just before you've said that we've only spent 3m, now you're saying we have no money? I'd be surprised but I guess that's possible. (although that would be the first time we have spent so little in Summer since promotion at a time when the largest tv deal comes into effect)

But you also disagree that wanting players off the wage bill could help us to make signings?

Surely ANY reduction in spending allows the club to spend that money elsewhere? Whether it's by loaning out players, or selling players with high wages?

Your points seem to contradict each other tbh.

fingers crossed.the longer it goes though we might end up having to sacrifice our decent players.

but those players will be back on our wage bill in 9 months time we have only moved them off temporarily. if they fail at their clubs and nobody wants them we will have a big problem if we have signed players long term in their place.

That does make assumptions about the terms of the loan and the contractual position of the players, not all of which will be the same, which may not be correct.

You don't know if the deals have a clause in them to become permanent

It may be that a more important player is lined up and the wages budget is required elsewhere.

Your really not great at expressing yourself.
