I wonder if any clubs in the champ need a first team keeper. Imagine if he went to Blackburn and played like Given played for us.

Then signed for the mags.
 
Am I right in saying it took him a while to get into the team and then he was in and out a bit?

Anyone have any knowledge as to why that was?
 
Crazy as it sounds I would seriously give him an opportunity to become our number 1 next season. He's 6'3", with a man's physique and is obviously massively talented. He's playing for England under 20's at 18!

I would let him and Patto battle it out pre-season to see who impresses the most.

Shay Given joined us when he was 19. Young is 19 in November.

If you're good enough you're old enough. It would save us money to spend elsewhere too.

Both need to playing every week, a championship loan would be the best for his development, nice position to be in though mate
 
I mentioned this on another thread , what Championship club would agree to an 18 year old keeper on loan being their first choice ?
He needs games

Not sure where either club are at for keepers but someone like Cardiff or Plymouth would be ideal , decent crowds , looking to get out of L1

Would prefer to see him in the championship though

It looks a bit planned rather than through performance of either keeper.

Bit weak by the manager to be honest rather than just sticking with the best performer.

It was to do with how many loan players can play at once.
 
What’s good about us as a club and I think you’re seeing more of it generally, is younger players wanting to play first team football. Seemed a while ago that a lot of them were happy to be at in reserves (appreciate they don’t exist anymore) or under 21s and pick up their money once they’d got a decent deal.

Ours either get on good loans or we blood them young.
