in terms of intensity, it will be similar.

In terms of a proper friendly, this is our last chance to get anywhere near the intensity required to start the season. Wasted opportunity if you're not going to start new signings.

Canny edit there. It’s a chance for players that haven’t played much to get an extra bit of game time into their legs. It makes perfect sense not to start the 2 new lads tonight. They’ll get a run out in the 2nd half and it’ll give those already here a kick up the arse to prove they deserve a place in the side.
