Massive week ahead

We relied on having a solid defence, as we can't score. But letting in 3 goals against Brentford and West ham is terrible like, we have to start scoring if our defence is in decline.
That's the worry for me, we've looked really suspect at the back all of a sudden after looking solid all season. Everytime a team gets near our box now they look like scoring.

Was a massive disappointment yesterday and although the players and manager have loads of plus points already in the bag, it's because we have performed so well before that it felt like a missed opportunity to really go for it. It is only one game and if we can get straight back on track then no issue as things like yesterday happen, but I didn't like seeing us lose so many battles all over the pitch to a poor West Ham team.

Xhaka was a massive loss and it shows how he controls our team out there, but others have to step up next week. I pray he's only missing one more game . Geirtruda has to play next week and Huume rested after a stinker yesterday. It isn't his correct position but lost the ball with sloppy passes way too often yesterday. The wings are a massive issue for us as we all know and Mundle was also very poor and Talbi also wasn't at the races.

Keep the faith lads and lasses. We are always gonna hit a few pot holes every now and again but sit back and enjoy the ride

I’d love to see us play in Europe but not sure the club would be welcoming the conference league.

The team is nowhere near ready for the Conference League anyway. I look at the Sundered squad as it stands and it is definitely capable of getting to the fringes of the top ten given a few years development and another few hundred million spent.

Right now in terms of potential level easily we are a top lower half squad given a few more top notch signings. Expect us to finish 11th or 12th in the not too distant. Till then the middle of the lower half. I can see us finishing 15th or thereabouts.

Still a remarkable feat.
You’re right mate. Stick to the same team and set up.

The same one that went West Ham?

Nice plan 😂😂

We need to keep patience with that team and format. Hume will grow into a world class midfielder in time.

What are people going on about? And having a head loss for?

We are virtually safe, only lost 6 games in 23. We will win more games, we won't be anywhere near relegation and will fall short of Europe.

We will probably finish between 9th-14th.

A fantastic season
Spot on

The away games recently we’ve clearly tried to be a bit more attacking whilst not having our strongest side available. It hasn’t really worked, clearly. Back to 5 in defence for away games would seem the sensible option.

Think Diarra showed yesterday what he's going to bring to the team. He is literally like a new signing. Why the need for a striker when we have Brobbey in the form he is ?

Beat Burnley and we are as good as safe.

I think we’re already probably safe. Top half should be the target now.
Brobbey has been excellent but lose him whilst Xhaka and Traore are out and the side starts to look much more likely to struggle. I love Wilson and Mayenda but it would be a gamble not having a more obviously similar replacement for Brobbey available. Not a “ we’re knackered” gamble but a season peters out gamble.

One striker needs to go then..we can't have 4 strikers. Don't think Isidor will be sold so it leaves a loan for Mayenda.

Talbi was pretty much bought as a RW. It's where he started the season with us.
Next game I’d have Le Fee left Diarra in and Talbi right with Geertruida sitting and Sadiki doing his thing. That gives us solidity and running power with guile right and left. We just need the three players furthest forward to get close enough to Brobbey

We have to have another quality striker in to keep both fresh

Worst case is he plays Hume mayenda and mundle

I think it's guaranteed after yesterday that he won't start the same way against Burnley. All of the players returned from AFCON will be ready to start.

Hume should be on the bench as well IMO if Mukiele is keeping him out of the RB position.

I think it's safe to say that yesterday was a failed experiment.
I understand the gist, but to suggest we should be gunning for the Champions League is fanciful.

There is no crossroads, there never should be, it's about creating value, and that's a long-term process opposed to stick or twist.

This is half of the problem though - only 3 teams have scored fewer goals than us this season. Anyone with half a brain knows that a team scoring so infrequently will not be in the top 4 teams after 39 games in the PL. Some of our fans get overly optimistic on the back of a good result.
