Mascot prices

When ours did it, we said to the club they've already got the home kit, so they gave us a voucher for the club shop to buy the away kit instead.
This was probably 5 years ago like but didn't have that option. In fact I'm sure he couldn't wear the one he had as it has his name on the back which wasn't allowed.

Pretty sure I've seen them signing stuff in there this season on the media stuff. Could be wrong like
I’m almost certain they showed it on one of the ‘Access All Areas’ videos earlier in the season - possibly Brentford. My son was mascot against Newcastle and we were told in the communications leading up to it bring one piece of merchandise to be autographed. It was only when we got there that we were told there were no autograph opportunities on the day. They were given a signed poster (Lambton Worm tifo) and they only lined up in the main entrance to greet the players instead of going in the changing rooms to meet them as they used to do. I thought it had just been scaled back due to the opposition that day but it appears not. He still had an amazing day but I can see why people are starting to wonder if the expense is worth it.

Could have came from the players?

Having to buy a kit is ridiculous given how much it would cost the club. It's mental how clubs are now willing to make money out of young fans given the money in the game.

It's just pure greed and there's no need for it and if anything, doing a little more for bairns would make the club stand out socially rather than joining all the other clubs that just want to milk fans of all ages in any way they can.
Especially as it has to be an adult kid for a lot of them as the kids tops are pretty small for the ages on them. The nipper had to wear a training top for hers as we couldn't get one without a sponsor. They magicked some up the night before mind, after a few people had already bought the alternative.

Deffo didn't happen against Liverpool. One parent had bought a ball from the shop especially to be autographed and joked he was glad he kept the receipt. Another was surprised the kids didn't get to go into the dressing room as their older son had done it a couple of seasons previous.

I bought a brand new top for my lad to get it signed with the intention of framing it. I emailed them the day after he’d been mascot explaining my disappointment at not being able to get autographs despite being told to bring something along. And to be fair to the bloke I contacted he told me to drop the shirt off at Black Cats house for him and he arranged for it to be taken to the training ground to be signed.

Aye, luckily the bairn didn't really know any different so he enjoyed greeting them as they came in and walking out, but I think really seeing them in the tunnel and the walkout was the main part.

Aye that was good of them to sort it.

Very different to last season and years ago. The bairn still thought it was good like but nowhere near as good as last season . Put it this way at Oxford he
Your of the ground/dressing rooms
Trained on the pitch
Met every player including Regis as they came out to warm up, got a photo and had stuff signed (which is now framed)
Walked out with whoever he wanted.
Lots of photos opportunities
Was a proper privilege for him and felt like a personalised experience

£155 which included 4 tickets which I wouldn't have had

Vs

Visiting an empty dressing room
Getting a hand shake from the players
No photos
Watch a warm up
Walk out with who ever
Very corporate as someone hinted in earlier

£200 2 tickets
