I hate the fucker. He’s crap, dreadful at Everton, same for most of his time at Chelsea, under achieved at Derby, out of order with us and Simms. Bell end. Don’t want him.

I'm not claiming to be ITK, passing on information from people at the club. For what it's worth, I had a message from the very same person saying lampard would be announced today but they've deleted it immediately.

I've always said take it with a pinch of salt, if you'd prefer not to have the info, happy to keep it under wraps.

Said for while, I think the club are waiting for the Euros / England games to announce their next underwhelming appointment.

Hoping for damage limitation from this embarrassing saga and the news being over shadowed by the Euros.

Hates a strong word mind, what Lampard done for that? Seems fairly decent to me (not that a pay much attention to ex footballers personal life’s)

He was a great player, and can’t recall him ever saying or doing anything offensive?

So you hate him because he’s a Tory and doesn’t share your political view?

The rest is an opinion you have of him, which we’re all entitled to. He wouldn’t be my first choice.

However, he’s played and coached at the highest level so I can see some merit in the thinking (although I doubt he’ll actually be on the list due to how much he’d cost us)

Agree. I suspect there’s not too many of us share Di Canio’s political views but I was desperate for him to succeed here as I am for any manager appointed by the club.

Still yet to see/hear any credible evidence linking Lampard but if he’s the man he’d get my full support.
 
Wouldn't say he underachieved at Derby beating Bielsas Leeds over 2 legs and getting beat of a villa team with Grealish, Abraham and Mcginn Etc who at the time went on a 10 game uwinning run (. Developed players such as Mount and Tomori. Also, under a embargo finished 4th with Chelsea and a FA Cup final.

He got Chelsea quite far in a European Competition, they have struggled to qualify since.
He got Derby into the playoffs, which is better than Rosenior did.
Will be desperate to get another try with a big team but needs to prove himself with us first.
Better than several other options mentioned.
