Mark Hughes leaves Carlisle Utd

Thats what I was saying.

Youd think they would be desperate to keep him and they have basically said weve got no money and no ambition to push on.

Until they get the ground situation sorted out I don't see how they can push on.

They got away with one this season just gone - might not be so lucky next time around.

For a lot of years now they've tried to do things on the cheap and exist.
Alledgedly on 30k a week
Wouldn't surprise me if he was.

I had them gone a few months back but inevitably the same will come around again largely because of your first line.

Elliots head was already turned by Carlisle, so he asked for unrealistic funds from Gateshead.

Heed will offer Storey the job.

Lads in Carlisle, they were took over by a rich american family, they went after him and that was the figure bsndied aboir, they were in the league at that time
I’m a ST holder at Carlisle and live in Carlisle, I’ve never heard anyone mention a figure anywhere near £30k a week mate. There’s not a cat in hells chance it’s anywhere near that! 10 grand seems to be the general consensus, and even then it’s on the high side in my opinion.

Me boss at work told me this at the time

30k a week certainly sounds fanciful but I gather he was on a rather a large amount in his spell at Bradford prior to league two that took up a fair chunk of their budget

He’ll take anything he can get. Him and Bruce

More fool the owners, imho they should be looking for some young managerial/coaching talent, not that egotistical prick
They are not everyone’s cup of tea but they both clearly love the buzz of the game
They were both very very well off 20 or more years ago so they don’t do it for the money
Dont get the hate
Bruce did a lot more for us and was certainly more successful than many of managerial alumni like Keane, ONeil, Moyes and Advocaat
